The difference between imitation leather and leather

发布时间:2020-07-17 来源:守中实业有限公司
The difference between genuine leather and imitation leather, as we all know, every leather factory has to use two kinds of Zhi materials: genuine leather and imitation leather.
"Genuine leather" is a common word in Dao leather products market. It is a common term for natural leather to distinguish synthetic leather. In the consumer's concept, "genuine leather" also has non fake meaning. In fact, dermis is leather, which is mainly made of mammalian skin. There are many kinds, varieties, structures, qualities and prices of genuine leather. Therefore, leather is not only the general name of all natural leather, but also a vague mark in the commodity market.

The natural leather can be divided into pig leather, cattle leather, sheep leather, horse leather, donkey leather and kangaroo leather, and a small amount of fish leather, reptile leather, amphibian leather, ostrich leather and so on. Among them, cattle leather is divided into cattle leather, buffalo leather, yak leather and cattle leather; sheep leather is divided into sheep leather and goat leather. According to their layers, there are head leather and two-layer leather, of which the head leather includes full grain leather and shaving leather, and the second layer leather includes pig leather and cattle second layer leather.

Among the main types of leather, cattle leather and sheep leather have fine surface, small hair eye, fine and compact internal structure, good fullness and elasticity, and good physical properties. Therefore, high-grade cattle leather and sheep leather are generally used as leather materials for high-grade products, and their prices are higher in the bulk leather. In many kinds of leather, full grain leather should be ranked first, because it is processed from the first-class raw material leather with less disability. The leather surface retains the intact natural state and the coating is thin, which can show the natural pattern beauty of animal skin. It is not only wear-resistant, but also has good air permeability.
Shaving leather is made by grinding the surface of leather lightly with a buffing machine, then finishing and pressing the corresponding patterns. In fact, it is a natural leather surface with disability or roughness for "cosmetic". This kind of leather almost lost its original surface state, and its coating layer was thicker, and its wear resistance and air permeability were worse than that of full grain leather.
Two layer leather (i.e. two-layer leather) is a kind of thick leather which is sliced by a skin slicing machine. The first layer is used to make full grain leather or shaving leather. The second layer leather is made by coating or laminating. It has poor fastness and wear resistance, and is a relatively cheap leather of the same kind. However, different kinds of leather have similarities in appearance and internal structure, such as horse leather and cattle leather, cattle leather and yak leather, donkey leather and sheep leather, kangaroo leather and calf leather. With the improvement of leather processing technology, after finishing and imitation embossing, the leather can be completely changed. Some of the original features are covered, and then after cutting and sewing, it is almost impossible to identify which kind of leather it belongs to with the naked eye.
As a result, fake goods on the back of the leather get a good chance. In order to pursue profits, a few manufacturers make use of the similarities in the appearance of different leathers to steal or use matching methods, such as horse skin for cattle hide, yak skin for cattle hide, donkey skin for sheep skin, etc. In business, it is also common for leather products to be hung with "genuine leather" or "cowhide" signs. In order to promote their own products, individual sales personnel do not make a real introduction, resulting in customers' wrong choice and purchase. Leather is almost a household name and everyone knows it, but there are many people who lack relevant knowledge.
In order to protect the rights and interests of consumers, we introduce several common identification methods:
1. Hand feeling: touch the leather surface with your hand. If it is smooth, soft, plump and elastic, it is genuine leather; however, the surface of general synthetic leather is astringent, rigid and poor in softness.
2. Observation: there are clear pores and patterns on the surface of leather. Cattle skin has symmetrical fine pores, yak skin has thick and sparse pores, goat skin has fish scale pores, pig skin has triangular thick pores, and artificial leather, although it also imitates pores, is not clear.
3. Smell: all real leather has the natural smell of leather, while the artificial leather has a strong plastic smell.
4. Ignite: tear a little fiber from the back of real leather and artificial leather. After being ignited, the leather that emits pungent smell and forms lumps is artificial leather; the leather that emits hair smell and does not knot hard lumps is leather.
